This is a video art project sourcing the chanting of The Heart of Prajna Paramita Sutra, one of Buddhist classics, as an input to embody a dynamic Buddha figure. The Buddha as a deity and conceptual figure is now reacting to the prayers. The visual distortion of the Buddha speaks to the ritual of chanting, at the same time, respond to the concept “Form is no other than emptiness, emptiness is no other than form” in The Heart of Prajna Paramita Sutra, that the metamorphosis of form constitutes its emptiness in its incapturability and transience, so that persistance is unnecessary.

本视频艺术作品采样了佛教经典之一《心经》的诵经声,以塑造一个动态的佛陀形象,作为神灵和哲学概念的佛陀在此对诵经做出了回应。佛陀的视觉形变表达了诵经的仪式感,同时也回应了《心经》中“空即是色,色即是空”的概念,即形的偏移恰证了其不可捕捉的“空”,因此不必执迷于表象。
